In spring when the pumpkin seed sprouts showing a few tiny green leafs, everything seems quiet ordinary, like the plants around. And then suddenly seemingly out of nowhere, tendrils start curling, the leaves multiply the stalk becomes stronger. Gentle green lianas start in all directions, looking for something to hold on, to embrace firmly. Theystretch overcoming and another in a hurry, they interplet, winding round the wicker work and the fence, carrying the fanlike leaves toward heaven.

And when in this jungle of tendrils and leaves, the first white flowers show like little precious orchids, the curtain goes up, the show begins, here in garden, under the open sky.

What`s on the stage?

At the moment only cradles and small leafy beds padded with white flowers. The morning sunshine. The bees humming. The warm spring rain. The scents of noon. Peace, repose, waiting. Everything is ready to welcome somebody home.

Hush, hush! Is it here already? Rocking in the cradle of leaves. Poking out is the milky-greenish head. Who are they who hide in the floating green hut? Did this small green creatures come from another planet?

Perhaps?! There is more of them. They land as if in a space ship: head down, body up. Some land gently holding to the lianas and branches. They are careful not to crush upon the earth. Floating and sliding down from the heights on their way, they form their heads, bodies, wings, beaks. They wish to be like earthly beings as far as possible: round, pearlike, elongated heads, an elongated neck, bulky or slim body, bent beaks, long tails, nozzles big and small...

Now they are not small nor green any more. They are of a yellow-brownish warm hew, like bread, like soil, like wheat...

And then? Lovingly the puppeteers` hands reach for them, take them, touch them gently, turn, join, add trifle here and there.

So came into life: Chitter-chat, Chirpsel, Gourdy, Gourdlet, Lady Gourd, Monsieur Gourdel, Faylet and Fayleen, The Blue Vendelin, Birchbeet-Nightly, Michael Moss, Flutterby, Pumpkinot and Pumpkinelle...

So came into life the puppets: The Moon and the Queen of Peace.
